Thomas J. Siepka R.Ph., MS FACHE


Thomas J. Siepka is the CEO & Founder of HCI - Healthcare Consultants LLC, a healthcare consulting and solutions firm that provides extensive administrative, programmatic, regulatory, strategic and clinical knowledge and insight to an array of organizations.


Mr. Siepka leads a talented team and provides clients with expert advice, consultation, and support built upon his nearly thirty years at hospitals and health systems. Mr. Siepka has served as a Chief Pharmacy Officer for two nationally recognized academic medical centers and health systems. Mr. Siepka’ s experience includes inpatient and outpatient clinical and operational program development, ambulatory programs, pharmacy supply chain and logistics, retail pharmacy and specialty pharmacy development, development and build out of central service and distribution centers, as well as pharmacy benefit management.


Most recently, Mr. Siepka was Vice President and Chief Pharmacy Officer of Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, where he oversaw all aspects of the pharmacy enterprise and pharmacy corporation including; hospital, research, ambulatory, retail and specialty pharmacies which serviced the Beth Israel Lahey Health System. While at BIDMC, he was responsible for the retail, ambulatory and specialty pharmacies program growth and expansion resulting in increases of contribution margin from $13 million to over $130+ million in under three years. The culmination of these business resulting in the planning, execution and creation of a Health System Based Central Services Center for Specialty, Mail-Order and Wholesaler functions in Pharmacy for the Health System with future expansion capability for an off-site ambulatory infusion suite and home infusion program.


Previously, Mr. Siepka was the Chief Pharmacy Officer of Dartmouth-Hitchcock Health (DHH) in New Hampshire, where he developed and led all aspects of the pharmacy business units, creating System Pharmacy and structure for the health system, serving as the organizations first ever Chief Pharmacy Officer. Under his leadership DHH started Specialty Pharmacy, expanded retail pharmacy and locations and expanded supply chain distribution to clinics and hospitals across the network and health system servicing two states. His career also has included other leadership roles at Lahey Medical Center - Burlington and Peabody (Burlington & Peabody, Mass.) servings at the Director of Pharmacy and later as the Executive Director of Hospital Services for the Peabody Medical Center within the system. Mr. Siepka served as the Director of Pharmacy and Supply Chain for Lowell General Hospital (Lowell, Mass.), and Director of Pharmacy for Anna Jaques Hospital (Newburyport, Mass.).


Currently, Mr. Siepka is Board Certified in Healthcare Management as a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE), and is a member of American Society of Health System Pharmacists (ASHP) and the Massachusetts affiliates of both ACHE and ASHP.


Mr. Siepka, received a Bachelor of Science degree in pharmacy from MCPHS University and a Master of Science degree in Leadership and Healthcare Administration from Northeastern University. He is a registered pharmacist.
